- Always act in such a way as to promote and safeguard the client's well-being and safety.
- Respect the property and home of the client.
- Recognize and maintain the client's personal dignity, irrespective of sex, age, religion, race, gender, culture, language, ability.
- Promote the client's independence and activity, appropriate to their abilities.
- Safeguard the privacy of the client by treating all information in a discreet and confidential manner.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the client and others with whom they come into contact.
- Report all causes of complaint to the office of Top Notch HealthCare Services immediately.
- Maintain and retain accurate details and receipts of all expenditure incurred on behalf of the client.
- In the client's care plan folder, maintain a written record of the procedures carried out, to include date, time, and the duties that you have carried out, making sure that you put your signature to all paperwork you have filled in.
- Undertake all duties in a courteous, efficient and professional manner at all times.
- Under no circumstances agree to be a signatory to any legal document or accept gifts of any kind from client's, their family or friends.
- Enable and assist the client should there be a need to make a complaint or voice a concern.
- Care/support workers shall not smoke in the clients home under any circumstances.
- Care/support workers are not permitted to consume alcohol or any kind of drugs in the clients home under any circumstances.
- Care/support workers are not allowed to take any children, visitors, relatives, pets, under any circumstances into a clients/service user's home.
- Care/support workers will conduct themselves with integrity and honesty at all times.
- Care/support workers are not permitted to use a clients phone unless it is an emergency.
